As part of its 6th Anniversary celebrations, Friends of Bharathapuzha (FOB) is organizing the River Youth Parliament 2025, continuing its effort to involve young people in conversations about river conservation and environmental responsibility.

The event will take place on 13 July 2025 at 9:30 AM at Navamukunda Higher Secondary School, Thirunavaya. The program provides a platform for students to express their ideas, concerns, and solutions related to rivers, ecology, and sustainable living.

Conducted under the theme “Ini Njangalum Parayam” (Now It’s Our Turn to Speak), the River Youth Parliament has been successfully organized over the past three years in Cheruthuruthy, Pattambi, and Shoranur, bringing together around a thousand school and college students to participate in discussions and presentations.

This year as well, schools that complete prior registration will be given the opportunity to participate and present topics during the Youth Parliament. The initiative aims to empower students to actively take part in environmental dialogue and encourage responsible action for the protection of Bharathapuzha and other natural ecosystems.

The program will be graced by distinguished guests E. Sreedharan and P. Surendran, whose presence will inspire the young participants and add significance to the celebration.
